Before you make a service request for a repair Pro, you have the option to use video call to troubleshoot your issue at no extra cost via the AHS app. Video call is available to members.

Step 2You will be connected with a vetted, repair Technician.
Step 3Your repair Technician will assess or even help you fix the issue on the spot.
Step 4If your covered item can’t be fixed over video call, you can make a service request for an in-person Pro (for the cost of your service fee) as part of your AHS® plan.

You can access video call as a a member benefit at no extra cost. Simply log into the AHS app (available to download for free on the Apple App Store or Google Play). The app will prompt you to add the property tied to your plan agreement to unlock all of its features. Once your information is set up, follow these steps to start a video call:

No, all you need is the camera on your phone. Your phone’s camera will allow the repair Technician to see what you’re seeing and help assess the issue. It’s helpful to ensure the area is clear of any debris so you can access it easily. If you have a toolbox or any tools handy, it’s a plus to have them within reach (if you don’t have tools nearby, you can still proceed with video call). Your Technician may help recommend any tools needed to make the repair.

If your covered item cannot be fixed using video call, you can make a service request for in-person help. After the video call session has ended, you’ll submit a claim and pay your service fee. The Technician you spoke to over video call will share their notes with your assigned repair Pro, which in many cases may help speed up the repair process.

Yes, all AHS members can use the video call feature. This a member benefit at no extra cost is available to new and existing AHS members. It’s important to note that new members must wait until their plan agreement effective date to utilize video call or place a service request.

An AHS Technician is a vetted professional that provides real-time home repair help over video call. A Pro is an independent, qualified professional from our network who will provide in-person help with covered items. Once you place a service request, we will assign a Pro from our network who can come get the job done.
