A home warranty is a year-long, renewable home warranty plan that covers home systems and appliances when they stop working due to normal wear and tear - like your air conditioning, refrigerator, water heater, and washer and dryer. How much does an American Home Shield Home Warranty cost?

The cost of a home warranty depends on a few factors, such as the level of coverage and add-ons you need for your home, the size of your home, and the Service Fee amount you select. What is the cheapest home warranty?

How long does a home warranty plan last?

The standard initial home warranty plan agreement is 13-months, and begins the day after you sign-up. After the initial agreement, your plan will renew for 12-month terms.

When does the home warranty start?

The standard home warranty plan agreement contains 30-day coverage waiting period. This means your coverage begins, and you can place your first service request, 30 days after your home warranty plan agreement begins.

Major appliances like built-in microwaves, ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, garbage disposals, installed instant hot/cold water dispensers, washers, and dryers.

Major home systems like air conditioning, heating, ceiling fans, doorbells, garage door openers, electrical system, and interior plumbing lines.
