Whether you’re a long-time homeowner or a first-time home buyer in LA, a home warranty is a great way to protect your lifestyle, budget, and peace of mind. Signing up for a home warranty can give you assurance that your covered home systems and appliances will be repaired or replaced in the event of a breakdown. Now that’s something to celebrate.
A lot can come with a home warranty plan. But as a resident in LA, you’ll want to make sure your plan covers these essential items:
The humid heat of Louisiana can be unbearable without an AC system. Make sure the key parts and components of your AC are covered by a home warranty, so you don’t start sweating when it breaks down. American Home Shield also offers discounted seasonal HVAC tune-ups—or one free HVAC tune-up per contract term if you have the ShieldPlatinum™ plan.
Most of your home systems and appliances can’t work without electricity, so coverage for interior electrical lines should be number one. Your home warranty coverage should also extend to ceiling fans and built-in exhaust fans to distribute the air throughout your home and help keep everything cool in Louisiana’s summer heat.
All of that humidity in Louisiana can take a toll on your kitchen appliances. For example, your fridge works harder to keep your food cold in a hot, humid climate. The best home warranty in Louisiana should offer coverage for your appliances—like your oven, dishwasher, built-in microwave, and refridgerator—when they experience normal wear and tear.
Louisiana gets more of its fair share of precipitation. Home warranty companies in Louisiana should offer roof leak repair coverage so you can stay dry.
See the plan agreement for coverage detail, including service fees, limitations, and exclusions. Coverage limits and charges for non-covered items may apply.
American Home Shield is one of the best home warranty companies in Louisiana, with nearly 2 million members and over 50 years of experience protecting homeowners’ budgets. American Home Shield offers coverage for up to 27 home systems and appliances, no matter how old they are.
The home warranty costs in Louisiana is based on the size of your home, location, plan you select, your service fee, and any add-on coverage options. Compare plans to get a better idea of how much your home warranty will cost.
