From perfectly golden cookies to last-minute pasta nights, your range, oven, and cooktop work hard behind the scenes to make mealtime happen. And with all that cooking, it's only natural that repairs may be needed eventually. If a covered issue pops up, don't sweat it. Just use your  American Home Shield® home warranty plan to place a service request online, in the AHS app, or call us, and we'll help keep the good food (and good times) coming as ranges, ovens, and cooktops are covered, depending on plan type. Because the only thing you should be cooking up is dinner.

Warming drawers not incorporated into the range or oven unit
The Covered Item Limit for ShieldGold is $2,000. The Covered Item Limit for ShieldPlatinum is $4,000.

Range, Oven & Cooktop Warranty FAQs

Yes, our ShieldGold and ShieldPlatinum plans cover the parts of ranges/cooktops.

We cover all components and parts of covered ranges/cooktops, including gas burners, cooktop elements, ignition system, and temperature sensor. The ShieldGold plan covers up to $2,000 for each covered appliance. The ShieldPlatinum plan covers up to $4,000 for each covered appliance. And if we can’t repair the covered item, we’ll replace it subject to the limitations and exclusions of your plan agreement. Coverage under your standard initial home warranty plan agreement begins 30 days after purchase and ends 12-months later. After the initial agreement, your plan with renew for 12-month terms.

If we can’t repair your covered range or cooktop, we’ll replace it subject to the limitations and exclusions in your plan agreement and remove the defective item.

You can place your first service request 30 days after you sign up for your plan. Service requests can easily be placed 24/7 online via MyAccount and the AHS® app or by calling 1-888-691-2854.
