The faucets and valves in our homes are such a common and reliable convenience, most of us take them for granted. Until one of them stops working, that is. Because while they typically last for several years, malfunctions can still occur. Rather than panicking when you discover a covered problem, you can simply place a service request online or call American Home Shield®.

For leaks or breakages of water, gas, drains, waste or plumbing waste vent lines and pipes that occur within a concrete slab or concrete walls of the Covered Home, including cinderblock, the Covered Item Limit is $1,000.

All 3 of our real estate home warranty plans include coverage for the parts and components of faucets & values, including shower heads and arms, valves for the shower and tub, diverters, angle stops, risers and gate valves, and hose bibs. Please see the coverage details on the page above or the plan agreement for more information on limitations and exclusions.

Our standard home warranty plan agreement term is 1 year. You can place your first service request once your plan becomes active on the day of closing.

If we can’t repair your covered faucet or valve, we’ll replace it subject to the limitations and exclusions in your plan agreement and remove the defective item. 

You can place your first service request once your coverage begins on the day of closing. Service requests can easily be placed 24/7 online via MyAccount or by calling 1-888-691-2854 during standard business hours to request service.
