Yes, all American Home Shield plans cover the parts and components of garbage disposals. To learn more, see our plans page to determine which plan is right for you.

We cover all components and parts of garbage disposals. And if we can’t repair the covered item, we’ll replace it subject to the limitations and exclusions in your plan agreement. See the page above or the plan agreement for more detailed coverage information.

You can place your first service request 30 days after you sign up for your plan. Service requests can easily be placed 24/7 online via MyAccount, in the AHS App, or by calling 1-855-832-4631 during standard business hours to request service.

When your garbage disposal breaks down, you can quickly and easily place a service request online via MyAccount, or in the AHS app, or by phone. You will pay your service fee with your request, and we’ll assign a Pro to come out to diagnose the issue outlined in your service request. If the issue is covered, the assigned Pro will complete the covered repair.

Our home warranty plans offer comprehensive coverage for parts of your home’s major systems and appliances, access to a national network of qualified, independent repair Pros, a 30-day workmanship guarantee, the ability to place service requests online or in app 24/7, and member benefits to help you maintain your home.
