Every AHS plan covers the parts and componetns of toilets as part of our plumbing coverage. For leaks or breakages of water, gas, drains, waste or plumbing waste vent lines and pipes that occur within a concrete slab or concrete walls of the Covered Home, including cinderblock, the Covered Item Limit is $1,000.

Yes, all 3 of our home warranty plans, ShieldSilver, ShieldGold, ShieldPlatinum, include coverage for the parts and components of toilets. 

All 3 of our home warranty plans include coverage for parts and components of toilet and toilet-related mechanisms, including the toilet wax ring seal and clearing stoppages. Please see the coverage details on the page above or the plan agreement for more information on limitations and exclusions.

The standard initial home warranty plan agreement is 13-months, and begins the day after you sign-up.  After the initial agreement, your plan will renew for 12-month terms. You can place your first service request 30 days after you sign up for your plan. 

If we can’t repair your toilet, we’ll replace it subject to the limitations and exclusions in your plan agreement and remove the defective item.

You can place your first service request 30 days after you sign up for your plan. Service requests can easily be placed 24/7 online via MyAccount or by calling 1-888-691-2854 during standard business hours to request service.

Our best home warranty plan is the one that’s right for you and your home. The ShieldSilver plan covers the parts and components of your must-have systems like your heating and cooling, plumbing, and electrical systems. ShieldGold covers all of the above systems plus your laundry and kitchen appliances. And with ShieldPlatinum, you get coverage for just about everything: parts of home systems and appliances, plus premium features like roof leak repair coverage, and one free HVAC Tune-up per agreement term. No two homes are the same, and that’s why we have options – so you can find the plan that fits your needs. 

Our home warranty plans cover damage from normal wear and tear, but not from improper use. We take care of things other home warranty companies might not, like:

  • Normal wear-and-tear, no matter the age of a covered item

  • Unknown, pre-existing breakdowns

  • Items without maintenance records

  • Duplicates of the same item, like that extra AC unit

  • Removal of defective equipment

  • Refrigerant recapture, reclaim and disposal

  • Breakdowns caused by improper installations or repairs, insufficient maintenance; rust, corrosion and sediment; and mismatched HVAC systems. If you’re a member, please review your plan agreement for more details. You can also review a sample contract for more information.

Yes, leaks due to normal wear and tear are typically covered. Issues from neglect are not. Refer to your plan agreement for details.

Regular cleaning, prompt repairs, and proper use extend your toilet’s life. Avoid harsh chemicals and don’t flush inappropriate items to prevent damage and clogs.
